Great pics! I think visiting and hiking the Tongariro Crossing was my favourite day in NZ. That said, by the end of the hike I think I was so tired (we forgot to take food) I wasnt taking in all that was around me, you on the other hand seemed to be able to take in everything with the path you took. Great stuff!
If you do head back to NZ i'd recommend the hike 100%. Just remember food and water, lots of it!
How did you manage to forget to take food on a 8 hour trek?! Crazy dude!
I'd love to do the crossing if and when I go back, but saying that, the walk I did was spectacular anyway so I don't feel as though I missed out on too much :)
Did you do the wak in the snow or during the summer? When I went my mates did it through the snow; needless to say some of the struggled!
